The Second Maker Festival opened at Shenzhen second high school on Oct 13th 2016. Including the vice mayor of Shenzhen WuYihuan, director of the Education Bureau of Shenzhen ZhangHongji, deputy director Fankun, the dean of Shenzhen Academy of education science YeZiwen, researcher TongHaiyun, the director Nanshan Education Bureau of Shenzhen LiuGengping came to the festival.
There are 120 stands in total. Many enterprises and excellent maker schools came to arrange their stands. The NO.4 Primary school of Yucai owns two stands, they are stand B12 which represents club activity and stand D which represents curriculum. Principal Chen pays great attention to the makers festival, he brings the team by himself, dean’s office director Bai bring science group and information management section to take part in it. 27 students including the owner of Chinese youth academy of science QinRuipeng , Nanshan district youth academy of science LuoYaxi, the national patent owner Zhengwei experienced the pleasure of being makers.
At around 10：30 in the morning，vice mayor Wu walked in front of the stand of Yucai No.4 primary school, she instantly attracted by the works Smart Shoe racks and Smart Trash Bin. And she listened carefully to their introduction of the works. After communicating with the little makers,she left her words of encouragement on their cellphones.
After that, bureau Zhang, deputy director Fan also steped to the little maker’s stands,they appreciated their works and asked more details about the process. Bureau Zhang also left his inscription: “maker education, full displays its beautiful.”
Deputy director Fan came back twice to the little makers’s stand, he enquiried: “your inventions are creative and pragamtic,how much did them cost?” Little maker Zheng answered: “Materials and labors costed 800 yuan.” Fan asked “if it sell in the market,can you make it quantity product?” “if it necesssary, I can personize for you.” Zheng said. “How much do you want to sell it in the market?” the compaions asked. Zheng said “800 yuan.”the compaions said “you only get back your cost, you shoud ask for 1600 yuan.”
Then dean Ye and researcher Tong also came to the stands and experienced the works with deep interest.Bureau Liu truely care about the maker education of Yucai No.4 primary school.After the opening ceremory, he first came to the stands of Yucai No.4 primary school. And he showed his cordial greetings to the teachers and students.
Yucai No.4 primary school dedicated itself to cultivat student’s core literacy. Especially pay attention to develop student’s creative spirits and creative ability. It has opened 83 special course,including about 30 makers and science course, according to carry out these courses,the aim of “solid theoretical basis, enrich life, show individuality, develop interests, broden knowledge, develop potential” have been realized, it also greatly improved the students’ comprehensive qualities. In the long-term efforts, Yucai No.4 Primary school have made fruitful achievements in maker.
Inventionand creation club was elected the first special club, Yucai No.4 primary school is also one of the first batch maker’s labouratory. And it also named the home of the young academy of science. The makers in Yucai No.4 primary school have gained more than 50 national patents, and they also have got great grades in many major competitions.
