From element school to university, our students are really very good at various examination earning remarkably high score, in comparison with the oversea students at their same age. we’ve got dedicated teachers, completely supportive parents, would you said our education system successful enough? If that is true, are our students really willing to help others? Do you think they behave well when being out of school, why we gain less Nobel’s prizes than what we should deserve, are there some missing parts in our current education system?
Our inherited culture and core value teach us we ought to help who are in needs and be considerate, respectful of others. Today, how we judge if we make it or not?
Many times when we viewed a Chinese famous dating TV program, the men asked the girl, when we become wealthy what you want to/can do to contribute to the society, that s impressed us deeply. At many scenes, we saw passers-by rushed to save the driver suffered a traffic accident.... when once I took the subway, led by a kindergarten teacher, a group of children rushed into the carriage just so as to occupy the seats… many cases of complaint from abroad in regard to Chinese tourists’ misconduct such as disobeying the rules, making loud noise disturbing others, illegally possessed property of hotel he/she stayed or public places, people were accustomed to be not in a line as be in home land.
Driving a car become more and more challenge nowadays in China, many drivers change lanes randomly& unpredictably without a signal given, drive slowly in the fast lane resulting in low traffic efficiency. As what can see, many countries they do better than us. There’re lots of misconduct that need to be taught and corrected, likewise, there’re lots of conduct need to encourage to do in school.
Insufficiency of education resources deepen the competition. A good sample demonstrate well is price for apartment nearby quality school have been increasingly and incredibly sky high these years. due to lack of state owned quality school, many primary school students have to attend expensive tuition institute that using textbook equivalent to middle school standard， because those quality school use entry tests to enroll students under competing fiercely situation. Therefore, we call on government invest more on education by establishing more quality school, and encouraging more private investment involved in this field, encouraging more young man take apart in the education career, now a class has been up to 50~60 students, there’s no doubt every single one of pupil’s situation couldn’t be timely and fully attended. the scale in other countries’ school could be as low as 20 or even less.
As far as we know, in china primary school student are working hard than any other countries’, though we only have 2 years leaning in high school and 1 year for fighting for college entrance examination, we do think under the current education system, the university students don’t devote themselves to the researches enough, their ultimate goal is to obtain a decent job with good salary, in short, we are very tight at the beginning (primary school) and loose at the end (university school). However, in the western education system, they have an ease primary school stage, while they have 4 years high school and 4 years of university, which enable them to work out splendid researches achievements. In short, they are ease at the beginning but much tighter at the latter phase. Which is better? If we judge it by term of Nobel’s prizes or scientific research achievements，We are far more behind.
Teaching students to absorb knowledge is not the all in the campus, take the primary school stages for instance, forming a good habit of learning, as well as independency, responsibility , developing their talent, inspiring their creation& imagination, igniting their enthusiasm in exploring the nature &science , teaching them be more considerate and respectful of others ,obeying the rules not only in the school but also in the society ,should never be less crucial than just completion of schoolwork assignment.
We and our generation are on the road to great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, in the past 30years we achieved amazing economic achievements majorly driven by low-tech exportation, now that times and rules changes, in order to meet the great challenge now and in the future, we must have the insight to evaluate and adjust our education system accordingly so as to keep up with the undergo transition and achieve that goal.
